In short: paid packages are paid yearly in advance. If a new subscription is not right for you, ask within 7 days for a full refund. After that, the package runs until the end of the paid year and is not refunded, unless the problem is ours. Mistaken or duplicate payments are always returned.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to ThinkTest packages bought through NVDRA. Every NVDRA application follows the same rules, and each is subscribed separately. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection law, including the Sindh Consumer Protection Act, 2014 and the equivalent laws of other provinces, where they apply.
How billing works
- Where a free package is offered, it costs nothing and has no billing.
- Paid packages are billed once a year, in advance. The year starts on the day we verify the payment.
- Invoices are issued in the NVDRA account. The Owner pays by the method on the invoice and uploads the proof of payment, which we verify.
- A renewal invoice is issued before the paid year ends. If it is not paid within the grace period shown on the invoice, the account is placed on hold until it is paid.
7-day refund on a new subscription
If a institute buys a paid package for the first time (or comes back after its earlier subscription ended) and decides it is not suitable, the Owner can ask for a full refund within 7 days of the package starting. The institute then returns to the free package (where there is one), or its account is closed if it asks. The same 7 days apply to a renewal paid by mistake, provided the paid features have not been used since the renewal date.
After the first 7 days
Because the yearly price is lower than paying month by month, a paid year is not refunded after the first 7 days, and cancelling stops only the next renewal. The package stays active until the end of the year that was paid for.
We will refund the unused part of the year, calculated by whole months, when:
- ThinkTest is unavailable for a long period because of a fault on our side, or we remove a feature that is a main part of the package, and we cannot offer a fair alternative;
- we change the Terms of Service or our service providers in a way that the institute reasonably objects to, and it closes its account before the change takes effect;
- we close the account for reasons that are not the institute’s fault.
No refund is due when an account is suspended or closed because the institute or its Users broke the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
Upgrades and downgrades
- Upgrade: the institute pays the difference between the two packages for the months left in its current year. The new limits apply as soon as the payment is verified.
- Downgrade: takes effect from the next renewal; the current year is not partly refunded. Usage must first be brought within the smaller package’s limits.
Duplicate and mistaken payments
If the same invoice is paid twice, more than the invoice amount is paid, or an invoice issued by mistake is paid, we will refund the extra amount in full, or, if preferred, keep it as credit for the next invoice.
How to cancel
The Owner can cancel renewal in the NVDRA billing area, or close the account by writing to us from the email address of their NVDRA account. When the paid year ends, or when the account is closed, the institute may continue on the free package (where there is one) or its account is closed, and its data stays available for export for 30 days before it is deleted as described in our Data Processing Terms.
How to ask for a refund
- Write to support@nvdra.com from the Owner’s email address, with the institute’s name, the invoice number and the reason.
- We reply within 5 working days. If we need more information, we will ask.
- Approved refunds are paid by bank transfer to the account the payment came from (or another account in the institute’s name) within 14 working days of approval. Bank charges for the transfer, if any, are deducted, and taxes are refunded only where the law allows.
